Episode 6: Transcript
Roughly 25 years ago, I used to sell air and water purifiers. I loved our water purifying unit! It sat on the counter next to the faucet and lit up with this bluish purple light when it was purifying the water. After that unit died, we had several others and then finally switched to a five gallon bottled water unit of purified water.
As a salesperson for water purifiers years ago, I had learned the importance of clean water and also about some of the unhealthy junk that's in tap water. The water my family drinks now is supposed to be "safe." But is it also healthy, alive and good for us?
Several years ago, a friend introduced me to an expensive water machine. Now, my non-technical recollection of it was that it jolts the water with electricity, slightly changing the water's composition so that it's more alkaline and it's better absorbed and utilized in your body.
And it leads to better health. My friend explained that this technology was developed in Japan and that the hospitals there use this kind of water because of its well-known healing properties. Well, well-known in Japan anyway. It sounded fantastic, and I was considering buying it until the sticker shock set in. That particular unit was roughly five grand. So at that time, that was not happening. Bummer.
But since then, I've been exposed to several fascinating experiments done on water and ice crystals. Specifically the work of Dr. Emoto kept popping up and I was so intrigued by it. Here's a quick layman summary of what I thought was important. /
It turns out water is sensitive to its surroundings. Its structure changes in reaction to words, thoughts, prayers, intentions, emotions, and even music. Isn't that unbelievable?
And this is not woo-woo pseudoscience. This is actually proven. So keep that in mind. Water exposed to positive, encouraging, loving words and intentions produced beautiful, symmetrical ice crystals. Water that was exposed to negative, hurtful words and intentions produced lopsided, incomplete and misshapen ice crystals. Same water. Which water do you think you'd want nourishing the cells of your body? The positive, happy, healthy water, right?
Dr. Emoto also proved that prayer and blessing the water changed it for the positive, and that made me think about food.
200 years ago, it was pretty common to pray over food before eating it. I personally did not raise my family to do that, and now I wonder if I did them a disservice. To be clear, I have not read studies about the structure of food changing based on prayers, intentions, words, and thoughts, but it seems highly likely based on the water research.
I mean, there's water in food, right? There's water in cells. So yeah, I think so. In my spiritual and energetic studies, many, many, many, many, many teachers have stressed the importance of blessing our food, removing and transmuting any negative energies, and thanking the plants, animals, and people who grew it, harvested it, prepared it, and for the sacrifice of the plants or animals. You know, like ancient people used to do! Treating food with respect and thankfulness, not just shoveling it down.
During my Body Talk Access training, I learned that most people's cells no longer properly take in water. Meaning a person can drink eight glasses a day and just contribute them to the toilet. While the cells are basically dehydrated. In that class, we learned a technique to help the human body better absorb water, but I have not faithfully done it every day as the trainer suggested. I think this is going to be added back into my daily routine. Seems like a good idea.
Well, I watched a show on Gaia TV recently that taught me something new about water that I'd never heard before. It turns out water doesn't like the right angles of our pipes. And the water we get from the faucet and from our water bottles is considered structurally dead. Dead!
I wonder if that's connected with our bodies now having difficulty processing and using the water we drink. Could be. I'm not a scientist, but it seems pretty likely. So my personal plan going forward is to intentionally bless everything that I eat or drink, and I'm looking back into the special Japanese style healthy water and other purification systems to see how they match up with the latest water research.
Your Challenge This Week
As you head into this week, I challenge you to try pausing to silently bless your food before eating it and your beverages before drinking them. Do it in alignment with your personal belief system. If you wanna pray, pray, if you prefer to focus on gratitude, do it. Pausing to mindfully think about your food before eating.
It slows you down. It helps ground you. So that's my challenge for this week. Give it a try. Have a fantastic week, and we'll see you next time.
