What Are the Akashic Records?
Before we dive into the Dance of Mirrors, let me share what the Akashic records actually are because I know some of you might not be familiar with them.
Kelly explains that “Akashic” is a Sanskrit word meaning primordial source or substance. It's a field that records every thought, word, deed, and action since we individuated from source. Kelly shared a beautiful quote from Flower A. Newhouse: "Not a leaf falls from the tree without making an impression upon this delicate field."
Through a sacred prayer, Kelly has the ability to access one's records. These records contain our past, our present, and our potential for the future. Notice I said potential, not predetermined future. That's because we are in our free will. We are deciding.
What I find most fascinating about the Akashic records is that they help identify the potential outcome of something, but they never take away our free will. The guides Kelly works with are always there empowering us, bringing us back to our own truth and our own knowing so that we are making our decisions. They would never impose upon us to tell us what's going to happen, why it's going to happen, or how it's going to happen.
Kelly's Journey to Spiritual Awakening
Kelly's personal story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. Like many lightworkers on the planet, she had a hard time coming in and almost didn't make it. Her first major life lesson came at four years old when her parents divorced. This started the process of experiencing loss, abandonment, and feeling unloved and unwanted.
She describes these core wounds as having tentacles, with so many ways they act out and show up in our lives. At 29 years old, her father and his mother died at the same time, which was re-traumatizing. Then came her own divorce, where she needed to find her own voice and her own power.
But here's where the story takes an unexpected turn. Kelly found her way into the feng shui community, and instead of finding the supportive spiritual community she hoped for, she experienced backstabbing and jealousy. This honestly surprised me because you'd expect a healing community to be nurturing and supportive.
Later, Kelly found herself in a narcissistic relationship, which she describes as the poster child of everything she came in to heal in this lifetime. Through all of these experiences, she lost herself. But what she's come away with is profound: trusting her intuition more, realizing she's not a victim, and taking full responsibility for her life and what's happening in it.
How Feng Shui Led to the Akashic Records
Kelly's path to the Akashic records is fascinating. It all started with feng shui, which works on what's called the earth energy in the trinity of heaven, human, and earth. Kelly coined the term "divining the earth and unearthing the divine" to describe this work.
While teaching feng shui for her first master teacher, a student asked to do her Akashic records. Kelly's response? "Who are you and what are they?" Despite having done everything under the sun in the healing world, she'd never heard of the Akashic records. She was skeptical at first and didn't think she had room for something new and different.
But she decided to do it anyway, and it was the best decision she ever made. As a child at eight years old, Kelly wanted to be a therapist, but she couldn't do it that way. The Akashic records became the route that Spirit provided her. A world opened up, not only for her but for her work with others.
Christ Light Transmissions: A Divine Download
Just when Kelly thought she had her healing modalities figured out, Spirit had other plans. While setting up a new home and her healing room, she literally had the Christ Light Transmissions come plowing into her crown chakra from the ceiling. She ducked and said, "What?" Then she said, "Absolutely. Okay. You just have to tell me what they are and how to do them."
Despite having studied hypnosis, Reiki, and energy healing with the renowned Rosalyn Briere, this is what Spirit wanted her to do. Now she can look at the whole person, not only the space we live in but the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical levels to assist people.
This is what Kelly calls her trifecta approach, where she brings all these elements together. It doesn't matter what door someone comes in, it's always about ourself. It's always about our focus, our energy, our perspective, and what we do.
Understanding the Dance of Mirrors
Now let's get to the heart of this episode: the Dance of Mirrors. This concept actually came forward during Kelly's Akashic record gatherings, and the guidance came through with that.
The Dance of Mirrors helps us understand our life experiences, because many times our life experiences confuse us and we don't understand them. We don't know which way to look to unpack the wisdom within them. The dance of mirrors is really about two people reflecting the exact same thing or doing the exact same thing.
Because Kelly is in the healing profession, she's often looking at what is the unloving belief or the trapped emotion that the other is reflecting back to her. But we can also have the positive reflected back to us, like love, joy, and self-appreciation.
Real Life Examples of the Dance of Mirrors
Kelly shared several powerful examples from her own life and her client work.
The Jealousy Mirror
When Kelly experienced jealousy being reflected to her in the feng shui community, she felt like a victim. "They're jealous of me. They're making my life hard. Woe is me. This is happening to me." But anytime we're saying "this is happening to me," that means we're in victim consciousness.
It took a long time before Kelly realized that what was being reflected was actually her own jealousy. She wanted things that she thought people had, and she thought because they had it, she wasn't going to get it.
The Complaining Mirror
Let's say you have a friend or family member who's complaining all the time to the point you get sick and tired of hearing it. That's a sign. Kelly calls it like looking into viewfinders going, "Why is this showing up?" But she suggests changing the question from "why" to "what is this trying to tell me?"
When you ask that question about the dance of mirrors, you might discover that you're complaining too. And here's the interesting part: you might not be complaining about the exact same thing, which is why it might not look so obvious. But at some point you go, "Oh, wait a minute. I'm complaining a lot and I'm complaining in this area of my life."
The neat thing is when you change that inside yourself, you become less of an attractor to have it be reflected back to you. You start shifting into a higher octave, higher frequency, so that now more love is being reflected back to you.
The Nitpicking Mirror
This is such a common one in our lives: people who are nitpicking or being difficult with you. Let's say it was a parent, a father, your husband, spouse, or significant other, and it's really mirroring something that happened in your childhood with a parent.
But what we come to discover is the mirror part: I'm hard on myself. I'm picking myself apart. I don't give myself a break. And honestly, that's pretty much everybody, I think. But we're conditioned to believe we're disempowered and that we're a victim of all these people showing up.
The Job Hopping Client
Kelly shared a really interesting example of a client who came for an Akashic record session and said, "I need to leave this job." When Kelly asked what was going on, the client said, "I don't know. This is like the third job I've been to, and I'm such a spiritual high vibration being, and these people just wanna bring me down."
Kelly knew right away what was going on. The client couldn't see that this was her opportunity to see the mirror because she was just going to go job hopping. Next one. Next one, next one. Not recognizing that she's the common denominator. Wherever I go, there I am.
It turned out the mirror was actually about complaining. The client was complaining about her coworkers and was surrounded by those who were unhappy. So it had a happiness and complaining element to it. But there was also a third element: not accepting what was and where people are at, expecting people to be different than who they were. And she was feeling that they were also expecting her to be different than who she was.
What to Do When You Recognize a Trigger
So what can you do once you recognize a trigger from one of these mirrors? Breathe.
Because oftentimes when we get constricted, we actually stop breathing. So as funny as it is, it's a very great back pocket practice to have.
But even before breathing, there's the willingness. The willingness to be aware and then pay attention. And then once you recognize, "Oh, this is happening," and it may take a hundred times before you go, "Oh, there's my trigger," you're staying aware for when it shows up again so you have a different response instead of reaction.
How to Work Through Triggers
Step 1: Breathe
When you notice you're triggered, take a breath. We often stop breathing when we get constricted.
Step 2: Step Away
Oftentimes we need to step away. Our ego often wants to get into the fray with "You're my problem," et cetera. But what we're doing is moving into responsibility. Kelly goes as far as saying take a hundred percent responsibility for our life experiences. This doesn't mean we're responsible for what comes to us, but it's how we respond to it or react to it.
Step 3: Identify the Discomfort
Identify what is it in this trigger that makes you feel uncomfortable. That's got information in it. It's telling you something. It's letting you know what about this trigger isn't working for you at that time, either because the situation or the person's not working for you or something in you is judging.
We get triggered because we've pushed things down through either numbing or judging or shaming ourselves, and so the projection becomes "I attack" or "I go, no" or something because we're saying, "You are my problem." So we're changing that dynamic. We're changing that situation really, and how we interact with it.
Step 4: Do the Work
Then you work on it. You do the clearing work, you do the healing work. What is it that needs to happen so you can identify the unloving belief, correct it, and start practicing? It's a process. It's not, "Oh, I got it," and then we think we're going to change the layers of our entire being in that direction that quick.
Truth Must be Spoken in Love
One of the most powerful things Kelly said in our conversation was about emotions and speaking our truth. Many people think, "Because I feel this, I get to express it any way I want. It's my truth, it's what I feel," and Kelly says that's not accurate.
We actually want to qualify what's appropriate. Appropriateness is super important. What's appropriate isn't to spew all over somebody or make somebody feel bad and wrong and go hurt somebody intentionally.
And I love this statement: Truth isn't truth if it isn't spoken in love.
Kelly has been hearing for decades "speak your truth." But speaking your truth, it's not truth if you're blaming, shaming, judging somebody as you share. So you've clearly cleared yourself of your own judgments and shame. If you can speak to somebody and share, "Here's what's going on for me," that's real truth.
Kelly helps clients move into that place of empowerment to go, "Okay, I have cleared and processed within myself, so I bring myself to like that zero point, that place of stillness within my being." And when you're in that stillness, now the truth can arise. Now sharing can happen.
One of the ways to actually look at it is: I'm not trying to trigger you. I'm not trying to make you feel bad or make you feel the way I say you made me feel.
The Akashic Records Are a Recording
Kelly works with a lot of couples, and she watches this interesting tennis match back and forth. "You made me feel this way. Unloved, unwanted, disrespected." They're not conscious of this pattern.
What's fascinating, and here's what's neat about the records: it's not a record of just the past. It's a recording. That's the difference.
Kelly recently had a couple where the husband had done something four or five years prior, and now the roles reversed and the wife is doing to him what he did to her. And he's reacting the same way she did. When the awareness shows up, you realize this is what our inner child wants: "I want you to feel how you made me feel."
We have to clear that first, and then we share from that place or the new space. And then we share, "Here's what's going on for me, and I'm calling to your heart and to the love that we have to shift this to come to a new place together."
Life as a Game of Mastery
One of my favorite parts of our conversation was when Kelly talked about looking at life as a game of mastery. When we can start to do this, everything changes.
We're pointing ourselves in a vertical direction, connecting with our divinity. And to Kelly, we're learning a new language, and it's really the language of love. Most people don't know what love is. We have love in a very unique bucket of humanism.
Oftentimes we want to grow our soul. Our spirit wants to grow, we want to become more and more, we're an expanding consciousness, and so we want to be the best version of ourselves. We want to know, "How do I do that? What needs to happen?" So curiosity becomes the name of the game and inspiration, and we want to win.
We want to win naturally. We want to become and be focused on and become the best versions of ourselves.
The Universal Rules
So there's also rules. We need to know what the rules are, and those are the universal rules. The dance of mirrors is one of those rules. For example, oneness is one of those rules.
We have certain foundational pieces that are in play and we want to learn them and we want to learn how do I become one who's functioning and operating out of my heart, out of love, out of love-based perceiving versus fear-based.
That's the work Kelly does: helping people move from that fear-based to the love-based perspective.
The Game Is Stacked in Your Favor
Now we're talking about being in the game of mastery. We're mastering ourselves, and what Kelly loves about it is the game is stacked in our favor.
I have to admit, when she said this, I thought she was going to say it's stacked against us because this world is so negative. But that's exactly what Kelly likes to do: make the mind go, "Huh?" Because we have to stop the mind. The mind thinks it knows.
Our brain loves filling in the blanks. "Yeah, I know. I know." When it's the part that we're actually having to rewire. We're rewiring our brain, that part of ourselves that thinks it knows, but it actually doesn't.
"You're my problem. Somebody out there is my problem" versus "I have the power to change my dynamic."
So why is the game stacked in our favor? Because we already are masters. We're just here to remember, we're here to grow. We're learning, and we're healing.
Kelly helps clients see this because oftentimes they're coming from a place of things are stacked against me. "I'm stuck. I can't get through this. I don't know how to do this. I keep repeating the self-sabotaging patterns" or even looking at family dynamics and it's like "They're my problem. They're telling me what to do. I have to people please. I have to do what they're telling me to do."
What Kelly helps them do is get back into the truth of who they are, get back into their mastery as opposed to thinking things are stacked against them. Instead, we're going to find and build upon and create a stairway to your divinity, and that's a remembrance inside of yourself.
Fear Versus Love: Healing on the Collective
I know many people, myself included, who understand these concepts mentally. I'm very in my head. I can understand the concepts, yet still fall into the fear versus love dynamic. Fear is a very big emotion on this planet at this time in so many ways.
Kelly's perspective on this is powerful: there's purpose in it. It's so that we can heal on the collective. It's bringing up all the fears that we have because it's either fear or love. And so we're all here healing whatever fears, whatever illusions that we have bought into hook, line and sinker or agreed to.
Past Lives and Present Healing
Kelly shared a fascinating piece connected to the Akashic records. Sometimes when she mentioned that client where it was four or five years ago, sometimes it's lifetimes. And that gets really difficult to see and understand because you could be going through a hardship right now, but it was a past life that brought this in.
So what this does is we want to trust what life brings us. Trust what our soul is bringing, because just because we can't connect from where it came, doesn't mean we can't connect within ourselves to understand what's going on.
For example, being born into a family, choosing a family that has a lot of challenges. Kelly takes herself as an example: feeling unloved. Well, clearly from a past life she had that, but she also had guilt about not loving others. And that guilt then becomes an attractor that she has the experience to know the others' side of the equation.
Because we live in wholeness, we need to see the whole from all different perspectives. We have to have all the sides in order to really know the totality. So there's no "this is bad and this is right" and all of that human conditioning we put on things.
The Philosophy of “Yes… And”
When I asked Kelly what's one thing she wishes she could make all of us understand about healing and awakening, her answer was brilliant.
Quite a while ago, Kelly took an improv class. And it sounds terrifying, I know. It's where you have to be quick on your feet. You have to be in the moment and you go with the flow. And the philosophy is "yes, and."
So the only rule of the road, so to speak, is yes, and. Somebody offers you something, they're carrying a storyline. You get a prompt and then the next person adds to the story. So they're sending it on a trajectory. You can't tell them, "No, that's wrong, not okay with me." All you can do is in your inner being say "yes and."
So when we stop rejecting life or telling life it's wrong, and the things that show up, we've got these paths showing up that we don't necessarily know about. We go "yes and," and then we're in power. Choices are power. And so by making a choice, we are expressing our power. We're expressing our vote for ourselves.
In the "and" part, we're showing we're making a choice about how we're going to piggyback off of that, take that river in a certain direction. So Kelly thinks it's such a powerful tool, a life tool to live by: yes, and.
How Kelly Works With Clients
Kelly offers several different ways to work with her, all centered around that heaven, human, and earth trinity.
Feng Shui Consultations
If you're looking to build a space, or you've been living in a space for 10 years and you can see there's different areas of your life where you're ready for more balance or harmony or improvement, health, wealth, relationships (the classic areas), feng shui is effective for this.
Kelly works globally with people all over the world, so she doesn't need to be in your space. In fact, she has many people say to her that she sees their space better than they do, and they're standing in it. She's like, "Yeah, you need to move it one more inch and now we've got it."
Akashic Records Sessions
If you're wanting to experience more joy in your life, more personal success or professional success, Kelly works with business professionals, individuals, and couples. With the Akashic records, you're not limited to what area of life you want to improve and expand your healing and awareness in.
Christ Light Transmissions
These are energy sessions, specific energy sessions. It's oftentimes used when something feels stuck emotionally and you can't get to it through talk. So you get through it through the energy bodies, and also healing on the physical level.
Sometimes there's things stuck in the physical level, but it's connected to the mental. So the Christ Light transmission has an easy way of accessing and moving that energy.
Transformational Life Coaching
What everything's kind of led into is coaching, transformational life coaching. Kelly does spiritual life coaching on a one-on-one basis right now. But she also does teaching. She has certain classes that are online, and from time to time, she holds classes that can be done on their own.
Why This Approach Is Different
I asked Kelly how her work is different than if somebody just goes to traditional talk therapy. What are the benefits of doing it with this well-rounded approach?
Kelly says she has an insider scoop. She has the ability to go to the heart of the matter of things that are going on, and while it's interactive and she's leading clients back to their own personal power, she can also bypass a lot of the confusion or question marks and get direct to the issue in order to clear it, shift it, change it right then and there, and then start acting from that place and supporting that.
So there's a lot more clarity and possibly less time as well because you're not fiddling around with trying to get to the issue. You just get to it.
Final Thoughts
I hope this conversation with Kelly shifted how you see your triggers and relationships. Every time you get triggered now, remember to ask yourself, "What is this trying to tell me? What part of me is being reflected back?"
The idea that we're not victims, that we're here in a game of mastery that's actually stacked in our favor, that's a radical shift in perspective. And the "yes, and" philosophy? That's something I'm going to start practicing immediately.
If you're feeling stuck, if you keep encountering the same triggers and patterns, if you're ready to move from victim consciousness to empowered mastery, I highly recommend checking out Kelly's work.
There are so many directions we could have gone with this conversation. I might have to have Kelly back on the show in the future so we can explore another direction. But for now, I hope this episode gives you a new lens through which to view your life experiences.
Remember: the people triggering you might just be your greatest teachers.
